Aguas frescas or frescos or aguas, are light non-alcoholic beverages. They're made up of delicious fruits, mixed together with a bit of sugar and water. Sometimes they may contain seeds, cereals too.

What you need to make Strawberry Water
- Strawberries, If you get fresh ones, then better. I have not tried with frozen ones, i think it should be fine.
- Sugar, to sweeten this colorful drink. You can also use agave, honey or if the berries are sweet enough, skip, your choice.
- Water, to dilute the fruit concentrate and make a refreshing drink.
- Lemon juice to cut the sweetness, adds a zing to this simple beverage.
- Ice , make this fruit drink more refreshing and to enjoy the best in the summer heat.
Strawberry Agua Fresca | Non-Alcoholic Beverage
Equipment
- Heavy Blender or Indian Style Mixie
Ingredients
- 1 cup chopped fresh strawberries
- 4 tablespoon sugar
- 1.5 cups of ice-cold water
- juice of half a lemon
- ice cubes to serve
Instructions
- Wash, hull and chop the strawberries roughly.
- Take the berries in a blender. Add sugar and water, blend smooth.
- Pass the juice through a strainer to remove the seeds.
- Once strained, add lemon juice to it and mix well.
- Add some ice cubes to serving glass, pour the fresh juice over ice and serve immediately.
