Instructions
Preheat the oven to170C. Line a Baking tray with parchment paper.
Measure and keep all ingredients ready. All ingredients should be at room temperature.
In a mixer jar, take sugar and cardamom powder and grind it to a fine powder.
In a wide bowl, mix the flour, powdered sugar and almond meal.
Next add butter to the flour mixture, start making a soft dough. Add 1 tablespoon milk at a time and make a soft dough.
Divide the dough and shape them into logs and refrigerate them for 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes remove the dough, using a sharp serrated knife, cut cookie into thick disc and place them on the lined tray.
The cookies won't spread, even then leave enough space between cookies while arranging them on the tray.
Garnish the cookie with silvered almonds. This is purely optional, you can also roll the tops on almond flakes.
Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 14 minutes. After 14 minutes, i turned on the top rod and baked for another 2 minutes.
Remove the cookies once they turn golden brown. The cookies will still be little soft, while taking them out.
Leave them on the tray for 2 minutes. Then remove it on to a wire rack. Let them cool completely. Store it in an air tight container.
